Blue Monkey Network held its monthly event surrounded by work created by members as part of the HIVE exhibition at Gallery North in Hailsham.
It was a wonderful evening celebrating the artists taking part. Our Network Director, Nikki Davidson-Bowman, led everyone around the exhibition with a Lucky Dip Walk & Talk. Throughout the evening, the names of exhibiting artists were randomly selected from an envelope and each artist was given a limited time to talk about their work. This gave members and guests an opportunity to find out more about the works in the exhibition and give the artists the opportunity to speak succinctly about their work.
Blue Monkey Network would like to say a huge thank you to all the artists who spoke about their work and creative ideas, to the members who came along to support the event, and to the visitors who joined us. It was another very warm evening and, with so many people attending, it was a challenge to fit everyone into the exhibition spaces. Despite that, it was an enjoyable, thought-provoking, and inspiring event.
